Organic farmhouse in the countryside

We moved from Florence to Umbria in the 1980s because we wanted to live in the countryside. We worked to create an organic farm and today we produce organic honey, raise animals (sheep, pigs, chickens, etc.) and cultivate an organic garden. At the Agriturismo Poggio del Miglio in Bolsena we try to respect the environment that surrounds us and to live simply following the rhythm of the seasons.

Our farm is located at 620m above sea level in the triangle between Umbria, Tuscany, Lazio and is surrounded by woods with a panoramic view of the hilly landscape between Lake Bolsena and the town of Castelgiorgio. It is a small oasis 20 minutes from Orvieto, 40 minutes from Monte Amiata, 90 minutes from Rome, 60 minutes from the Argentario in the Tyrrhenian Sea and the famous Terme di Saturnia, 45 minutes from the famous Terme dei Papi in Viterbo and on the border with the splendid and rich land of Tuscany and Lazio. We are waiting for you at Agriturismo Poggio del Miglio to offer you comfortable accommodation during your holidays on Lake Bolsena. The apartments are housed in an old stone farmhouse and renovated in the typical style of the Umbrian countryside, while the cottage is built with green building and energy saving systems. Each apartment and cottage has its own space available; the pool is in the center of the common area. We have a small restaurant where, on request, we cook our products with typical recipes of these places.
